Symbol of Peace or Symbol of Conquest?

I'm not sure where this idea is coming from that disapproving of a mosque in Ground Zero is rude and bigoted towards Muslims. Yes, there are so many nice Muslims in our neighborhoods and schools, but the reality is that these friendly co-workers and neighbors are like most religious people in America. They don't practice the more radical, fundamental doctrines of their religion.
In order to understand the angst many Americans feel about a mosque going up near ground zero, we need to understand the intent of the organizations who take Islamic Law seriously.

My dad has written several articles about the incredible story of Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a top Hamas leader and participant in this worldwide organization of Islamic terrorism. Today, Yousef is a follower of Jesus Christ, having forsaken his jihadist heritage and fled to America.

Yousef's crucial role in Hamas gives us a look into the goals of Islamic fundamentalists. While sharing his experience with my dad, Yousef emphasized that "Americans must understand that the ultimate goal of the highly influential Brotherhood (Hamas) is not terrorism but to establish a global Islamic state over the entire world." He says that these people are not fueled by ignorance or plain old hatred, they are a rational, calculated network of groups with a religious agenda to conform the world to their beliefs. Yousef continues, "This is not a doctrine of some freak Muslim, it's the doctrine, the requirement, of the god of Islam himself and his prophet, whom they praise every day."

Why are people unhappy about a mosque going up near ground zero? Because the basic goal of the organizations who orchestrated the attacks on 9/11 was to spread their religion by gaining ground. It's not our nice Muslim neighbors and friends who are putting up this mosque, its the groups who want to see Islamic Law over the United States who are funding and backing this project to launch their religious conquest.
